Track Biography:
Dromahane is one of the busiest courses on the point-to-point calendar, regularly hosting a number of fixtures each year for a number of different hunts, including Duhallow, Doneraile, Muskerry, Cloyne and Killeady from 1988 onwards.
The track is owned by the O'Brien Family
The 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River is at the top of the list of recent star graduates from Dromahane which also includes the likes of Graded winners No More Heroes, Marias Benefit, Free Expression, Seeyouatmidnight, alongside Cheltenham Festival winners Black Hercules and The Druids Nephew.
Most recent Dromahane graduates include: Grade 1 Aintree Festival novice hurdle winner Jonbon, Dual Champion Hurdle and 11 time Grade 1 winner Honeysuckle, 2021 Supreme novice hurdle winner Appreciate It, 2021 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Minella Indo and 2021 Albert Bartlett novice hurdle winner Vanillier.

How To Get There
By Road
From Mallow- At the roundabout take the N20 for Cork and continue out the road and take the R620 to Dromahane. In the village of Dromahane turn left up the hill. Continue up that road and veer left, (not to bweeng). Take the first left up that road. Use Eircode P51N6TO. It will be signposted from main road.
From Cork - On the Cork Mallow Road N20 turn left for Dromahane on the R620.In the village of Dromahane turn left up the hill. Continue up that road and veer left, (not to bweeng). Take the first left up that road. Use Eircode P51N6TO. It will be signposted from main road.
From Killarney - On the Main Mallow to Killarney Road (N72) on Navigation Road take a right on to the R621 and follow the road signposted for Dromahane. Use Eircode P51N6TO. It will be signposted from the main road.

We have excellent facilities at the track. We are lucky to have an abundance of car parking space and parking is free to those attending the point to point.
The car park attendants will direct disabled patrons to a designated area in the car park.
There will be a number of portaloos situated around the course.
There will a bookmakers ring at the point-to-point, be sure to check out the runners at the parad
We will have a wonderful array of fast food options available from our onsite catering providers, perfect to eat by the racecourse taking in all the action or at a table, on a rug, or in the comfort of your car for a family picnic.
There will be soup, sanwiches and a selections of home baked goods on offer, something for everyone !
There will be a ice cream van in situe and a swet stall to please those with a sweet tooth.
A coffee van will be in attendance on the day to satisfy all your caffine cravings.
Our dedicated volunteers in the catering tent are on hand all day to serve you hot teas and coffees along with soft drinks and juices for the younger racegoers.
Soft drinks may also be purchased from our outside catering outlets.
A day out at Dromahane point-to-point is a real treat for all racing enthusiasts. Along with this, we endeavour to make it a great day out for the whole family, children under 16 go free !
One of the real treats of point-to-point racing is the close proximity one can get to the runners and riders. The parade offers a perfect vantage point to check out the runners before deciding which horse to place your bet on !
Our point-to-point is located half an hour from Cork city which makes it extremely accessible for visitors to combine a city break with a day out in the countryside.
